The wines of Clos Triguedina reflect the Baldès Family: deeply rooted, exacting, and generous. Each cuvée tells the story of a parcel, an intuition, a vision. Whether Malbec reds, elegant Viognier-based wines, or fresh and surprising rosés, each wine is a faithful expression of the Cahors terroirs — shaped by the controlled creativity of Jean-Luc, Juliette, and Sabine Baldès, with one guiding purpose: to make wine a connection between land, time, and people.
« Our greatest pleasure is to see a wine shared. Because a wine that brings people together is a successful wine. »
With La Trilogie, Jean-Luc Baldès pushes the parcel-driven approach to its highest level. Each wine is a micro-expression of Malbec, in dialogue with the geology from which it was born.
Sheltered by an ancient grove, the Au Coin du Bois parcel is rooted in deep, rich soils shaped by alluvial deposits from the Lot River. Here, the vine expands generously, drawing from the richness of the soil, and Malbec responds with a supple, enveloping, joyful expression.
The resulting wine is velvety, with aromas of black cherry, crushed blackberry, and soft licorice. On the palate, it caresses rather than strikes — a Malbec of indulgence, radiant and warm, yet perfectly controlled.
Higher up, on a bed of rounded pebbles mixed with clay, the vine becomes more resilient. Its roots push through stone and dryness, facing the heat of the day and the cool breath of the Lot at night. Here, the wine becomes more precise, more vibrant, more ambitious.
Les Galets is a Malbec of structure and tension, with finely chiseled tannins and a mineral backbone. Notes of graphite, black pepper, and forest floor unfold, carried by an almost saline freshness.
It strikes a balance between power and precision — a wine built for ageing, yet already captivating for experienced palates.
At the highest point, where limestone emerges and winds flow freely through the vines, the Les Petites Cailles parcel expresses purity and elegance. Yields are low, the grapes concentrated, and ripening slow. The result is a fresh, precise, almost airy Malbec.
A wine of floral finesse, with notes of violet, dried rose, and red berries, supported by silky tannins and a long, mineral-driven finish.
A rare, almost “northern-style” interpretation of Malbec — vibrant, refined, and restrained.
Each cuvée of La Trilogie is vinified, aged, and bottled separately. Together, they offer a rare expression of Malbec — both educational and deeply sensory.
Created in 1976 by Jean Baldès (Jean-Luc’s father), Probus takes its name from the Roman emperor who, in the 3rd century, reintroduced vineyards to the Quercy region. This cuvée does not merely belong to history — it embodies it.
Probus represents a rare balance of power and elegance. An exceptional terroir that expresses itself from harvest through ageing, and continues to evolve beautifully in bottle — both in youth and after many years of cellaring.
A wine that impresses with its depth, seduces with its elegance, and naturally finds its place in life’s most meaningful moments.
« A complete, refined Cahors — both dense and accessible. »
This is the quintessential Cahors red — the wine Jean-Luc has always sought to craft as the pure expression of his terroir.
Made from the estate’s historic vineyards, this emblematic cuvée blends Malbec, Merlot, and Tannat. It embodies the spirit of Clos Triguedina: depth, balance, and generosity.
Here, Malbec reveals itself in its purest form. Vinified with short maceration and minimal extraction, it produces a bright, vibrant red with crisp black fruit aromas. An ideal introduction to Cahors Malbec in all its authenticity.
At Clos Triguedina, white wine is no coincidence. Thanks to the estate’s limestone plateau, the Baldès Family has developed a range of elegant, textured, and surprising whites, revealing another side of the Lot.
A blend of Viognier (50%) and Chardonnay (50%), this dry white balances the richness and generosity of Viognier with the mineral freshness of Chardonnay.
A gastronomic white, both delicate and precise, perfect with grilled fish, asparagus risotto, or fresh cheeses.
Made from a late harvest, this off-dry white wine offers natural concentration, a remarkable balance between sweetness and acidity, and aromas of quince, pear, and honey.
Ideal for ageing or pairing with a delicate dessert.
Here, nothing is left to chance. From rootstock selection to blending, from night harvesting to tailored ageing, each wine is crafted with meticulous care. Guided by nature, the Baldès Family and their team shape wine as others sculpt stone — with patience, respect, and passion.
This diversity of soils and microclimates makes Clos Triguedina a rare playground for winemaking. Each cuvée reveals a precise terroir and a clear intention. Thanks to this mosaic, the Baldès Family has created a pyramid of wines combining immediate pleasure with long-term ageing potential.
