A Commitment at
Every Moment

At Clos Triguedina, environmental and human commitment is nothing new. It was born in the vineyard — through experience, transmission, and observation — long before certifications existed. Under the leadership of Sabine Baldès, this commitment has been structured into a comprehensive, recognized, and measurable approach, notably through the recent certification as Vignerons Engagés.

« We have always worked with awareness and responsibility. The certification simply confirmed and structured what we were already doing naturally. » – Sabine Baldès

An Environmental
Awareness

NATURE AS A PARTNER

For generations, the Baldès Family has cultivated the vine with humility and deep respect for living ecosystems. Here, we observe, support, and listen. Inputs are kept to a minimum, soil work is carefully considered, and treatments are reduced to what is strictly necessary. The priority: preserving the balance of the soil, as well as the surrounding fauna and flora, to produce healthy, ripe, and expressive grapes.

Vignerons Engagés – A FIRST IN CAHORS

In 2024, Clos Triguedina became the first estate in the Cahors appellation to be awarded the Vignerons Engagés certification, and one of the first in Southwest France. This national certification is the only one in France to cover all pillars of sustainable development :

  • Environment : water management, reduced inputs, biodiversity
  • Economy : long-term sustainability strategy
  • Social & societal : working conditions, shared governance, local engagement

Achieved in under a year — a remarkable timeline for an independent estate — this certification reflects the collective involvement of all teams, from vineyard workers to the commercial team.
Clos Triguedina confirms a commitment already embedded across its entire value chain, further supported by certifications such as Accueil Vélo and Tourisme & Handicap, ensuring an inclusive, respectful, and modern visitor experience.

Today, the Baldès Family takes a long-term approach, shaping this vision in its own way: through water management, cover crops, massal selection, and reducing the winery’s energy footprint. A commitment that visitors can also discover through the Vinocycle experience.

 One Estate,
 One Team,
 One Shared
Vision

Clos Triguedina is not only a place of production — it is a place of life, work, and dialogue. Sabine and Jean-Luc, joined by Juliette, have always believed that people are the foundation of great wines. Every team member matters. Every voice is heard. “You cannot demand excellence without respecting those who make it possible.” This principle guides every decision. Here, performance is also measured in quality of life and pride of belonging.

Transmission
as a Guiding Horizon

From Étienne Baldès in 1830 to Juliette Baldès today — and perhaps her brother Jean tomorrow — each generation enriches Clos Triguedina with its own vision and its own time.

But this transmission extends beyond the family. It also reaches visitors, clients, employees, and partners, who in turn become ambassadors of this living heritage.

WINE AS A LINK BETWEEN
GENERATIONS

At Clos Triguedina, wine is a bridge between ages. Jean-Luc Baldès passes on his knowledge, discipline, and instinct for terroir to Juliette. Sabine transmits structure and a sense of collective purpose. Juliette creates, experiments, and adds her own touch — with both enthusiasm and respect. And Jean, the youngest, may soon continue this chain.

” Our estate is a land of commitment. What we have received, we give back — to the wine, to our teams, to our visitors, and to those who place their trust in us. “
